Crown Inn

Dining at The Crown Inn

The menu at the crown specialises very much on the homemade, seasonal and local, all our meat is sourced  from a local butcher who rears his own beef, lamb and turkey, we do pay a premium for this but we would rather you had a tender, succulent full flavoured steak than the cheaper (often two for one) type meal.

The Sunday Carvery

Our Sunday Carvery is extremely popular and again serving homecooked food with three prime meats, traditional homemade yorkies & roasties a stunning array of fresh veg and gravy made the proper way with all the meat juices and veg stock.

Traditional Pub Menu

We have a pub style menu as well as the specials board which can change on a daily basis, the pub style menu features traditional favourites like lasagne, steak & ale pie,  homecooked ham and so on. Simple it may be, but still homecooked and delicious.  Vegetarians  and people with special diets are also well catered for as "because we make it, we know what goes in it" so therefore can often be adapted for celiac's and those with food intolerance's.

The Grill menu is very popular, prime rump or fillet, gammon or our mega 20oz mixed grill, again all locally produced meat, fully matured for depth of flavour and tenderness and served with all the trimmings.

The specials board really is just that SPECIAL  featuring fresh fish, local game (when available) and an array of dishes that we believe are unique to the Crown, the two ladies who work in and run the kitchen both adore cooking and take great pride in serving generous portions of food well presented and full of flavour.

The lunchtime menu is also very popular with  two courses for  only £7.95 and filled baguettes and jackets from £4.95, although if you are hungry the main menu and special board is also available.

Children are welcome at the Crown and have their own menu if required, highchairs available upon request.

Diners with dogs are also welcome (bar area only)
